Introduction to Style | Dapper Gentleman Thomas Jones

Creating content for your brand is a bit easier when you’re also a professional photographer. That’s right, I have a portrait photography business Derek Johnson Photography, LLC that I’ve been building for the past 14 years.

If there’s something more exciting and fun than creating my own content, is creating someone else’s. I’ve learned to be comfortable on both sides of the camera but behind the camera is where I believe I shine best.

My friend and business professional Thomas Jones wanted to capture some creative images in his favorite suit and accessories and Uptown Charlotte was the perfect location to make it happen.

Let me tell you…shooting in Uptown Charlotte is pretty eventful to say the least - we got shooed away from the fronts of many buildings, had to shoot and move quickly so as not to disrupt the flow of foot traffic. My man Thomas got quite a lot of attention as we moved through Uptown, at one point getting a request from three complete strangers for a impromptu selfie.
